Joëlle Pollentier has been director of Stichting Onze Kleine Weeskinderen/ Fondation Nos Petits Orphelins for almost three years. However the name of the organisation no longer describes the scope of who they work for. The foundation makes sure that not only orphans, but also abandoned and misplaced children and young people in Latin America and Haiti are lovingly cared for and supported in the children’s villages. Time for a rebranding and digitisation.

The unfamiliarity of a University as a charity is a challenge
Frédérique de Keyser is the coördinator at the Hasselt University Fund and Alumni Office since December 2020. The funds Hasselt University Fund raises are used to finance research, education and patrimony. The University Fund and Alumni Office was running at a low level before. But the board of Hasselt University really recognizes the importance of fundraising for its operations and further development. So the Fund is having a reboot.

Wouter Semey is responsible for marketing and fundraising at De Bijloke Muziekcentrum. The concert hall in Ghent focuses mainly on classical music, jazz and new contemporary music. De Bijloke also hosts events for external parties. Over the past year, Wouter and his colleagues have worked out various formulas with which they also collect donations for socio-educational projects.
